  6. Then using a ice cream scoop take 2 scoop of the batter and then you put them into the machine and cook it until golden brown or usually I cook it for 10 minutes.

Preheat waffle iron according to maker's instructions. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. In a separate bowl, mix banana, buttermilk, rum, oil, eggs, and vanilla. Preheat a French-Belgian waffle iron over medium heat. It was on a visit to my husband's relatives in Europe that I was given this Belgian waffle recipe.
