  14. Prepare 3 . Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  15. Prepare 4 . Red chilli - 1 broken
  16. Get 5 . Curry leaves - 3 to 4

The main thing is this Chutney is tasty without adding any c. Mint leaves - ½ cup pudina chutney with coconut, hotel saravana bhavan pudina chutney, mint thogayal without coconut, hotel style pudina chutney, pudina chutney with tomato. This particular coriander leaves chutney is totally different from other chutney recipes. Even though it is a chutney you will have to use it like thokku or pickle and is prepared without coconut and without adding any water.

Steps to make Coriander Chutney without coconut:

  1. Heat oil in kadai add urad dal roast until it changes colour and transfer this to plate. In same kadai add channa dal and roast nicely and transfer this to plate.
  2. Add chilli and saute nicely and transfer this too. In same kadai add coriander leaves and chopped ginger and saute for a minute and transfer this to plate
  3. Cool down this completely and grind to smooth paste with tamarind, salt and 2 tbsp of water. Transfer this to bowl.
  4. Heat small kadai add mustard, urad dal. Once mustard crackled add red chilli and curry leaves. Pour this over the chutney and serve with idli or dosa.
