Pico de Gallo is one of the most popular of current trending meals on earth. It’s easy, it’s quick, it tastes delicious. It’s appreciated by millions daily. They’re fine and they look wonderful. Pico de Gallo is something which I have loved my whole life.

To begin with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can cook pico de gallo using 4 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Pico de Gallo:

  1. Prepare 6 tomatos, any type you prefer
  2. Take 2 medium onions (sweet)
  3. Make ready 2-3 bundles cilantro
  4. Take 6 Serrano peppers

Pico de gallo (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈpiko ðe ˈgaʎo], lit. 'beak of rooster'), also called salsa fresca and salsa cruda, is a type of salsa commonly used in Mexican cuisine. It is traditionally made from chopped tomato, onion, serrano peppers (jalapeños or habaneros may be used as alternatives), with salt, lime juice, and cilantro. Pico de gallo can be used in much the same way as other. This will mellow out the raw onion and garlic and give the flavors time to meld.

Steps to make Pico de Gallo:

  1. Chop everything up and toss together. For a less wet salsa leave out the wet middles of the tomatos. For less spice, leave Serrano seeds out. (But that is the best part to me)
  2. I use a tap and chop for onions and Serrano so I dont cry or need to ware gloves. If not ware gloves for chopping the pepper.
  3. Best the next day after chilling in fridge.
  4. Add or subtract ingredients to taste. Sometimes i like more Serranos and my husband likes more cilantro.
  5. Some like squeezed lime added as well.

Plus, it'll give you some time to throw dinner together. After it's rested in the fridge, give your pico de gallo another stir, grab some chips and. I bet Chipotle calls their pico de gallo "tomato salsa" since it's easier to say! You might also see it called salsa fresca (fresh sauce). Pico de gallo literally translates to "rooster's beak," but no one's exactly sure why.
