The ingredients needed to make Spaghetti "Bolognese":

  1. Make ready 2 tbsp olive oil
  2. Prepare 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  3. Get 1 red onion, chopped
  4. Make ready 250 g mushrooms, chopped
  5. Get Fresh tomatoes *cherry
  6. Take 1 kg Mince (red meat eg. Beef / Ostrich)
  7. Get 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  8. Make ready 4 tbsp tomato paste
  9. Take 50 ml beef stock, hot
  10. Prepare 1 cup red wine, dry**optional
  11. Take 100 ml cream
  12. Make ready 1 tbsp Oregano dried
  13. Make ready Salt and pepper (to taste)
  14. Get Spring onion chopped
  15. Prepare 50g cheese (own preference)
  16. Take Spaghetti
  17. Get 400 g spaghetti
  18. Take 2 L water to boil (depending on the portion size of pasta)

My super simple Spaghetti Bolognese is the perfect dinner for any night of the week and will wow your family or guests. Everyone needs a basic spaghetti bolognese recipe that still tastes great, no matter how simple. Get that depth of flavour by cooking the sauce very gently until it's super rich. Our Spaghetti Bolognese recipe is a classic and made with homemade Bolognese sauce and Plus, as you're making the delicious bolognese sauce yourself from scratch, you know exactly what's going.

Steps to make Spaghetti "Bolognese":

  1. Pour oil into pot and heat up. Pour water to boil for pasta. *TIP: Put a wooden spoon over the pot to prevent boiling over.
  2. Chop up the onions / garlic / mushrooms
  3. Fry the onion and garlic until brownish.
  4. Add minced meat to the pot and fry until thoroughly cooked.
  5. Add the tomato paste and mushrooms together and mix together.
  6. Add the tomato sauce mixture and stir everything together and leave to simmer at low heat
  7. Add the beefstock, spices and *wine to the mixture and let it simmer with the lid o for about 10 minutes on low heat.
  8. Drain the pasta from the pot and rinse off. Add back in the pot/ serving dish.
  9. Switch off the heat and add the cream. Stir together and let it rest for about two minutes or so.(*do not boil)
  10. Prepare the "garnish" and add on spaghetti as preferred. Enjoy
