  4. Get 150 ml heavy cream
  5. Get 1 tbsp butter
  6. Prepare 3 tsp corn flour (large heaped tsps)
  7. Prepare 1 3/4 cup milk

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180°C
  2. Slice potatoes to fill your dish
  3. Chop garlic sprinkle amongst potatoes and season with salt & pepper (I only use Himalayan Pink Rock Salt as all white salts have been processed and all the good minerals removed so all that is left is sodium)
  4. Dot the butter amongst the potatoes and pour over 150ml cream
  5. Mix corn flour and milk and pour over potatoes
  6. Grate cheese over the top use as much or little as you like and season again with salt & pepper
  7. Cover dish with foil and bake in the oven (I stand the dish on a baking tray just incase it bubbles over) for around 45 minutes then remove the foil and cook for another 10 - 15 minutes to brown

Bring chicken broth to a boil. Scrub potatoes and slice thinly leaving skin on. In a mixing bowl mix sour cream and French onion soup mix until well combined. Layer potatoes and sour cream mixture in baking dish starting with potatoes on the bottom, until all used up. Russet (baking) potatoes will work as well.
