Store in the fridge for a week or in the freezer for up to six months. This slow cooker applesauce recipe froze and thawed perfectly making it very easy to portion out and have readily available for healthy snacks and baking. I don't think I will ever buy jarred applesauce again. Ok maybe I won't completely write off the store bought stuff but I must say homemade is. Once the apples are very tender, mash them with a fork until your reach your desired consistency.
