  14. Get 1 tbsp grated ginger
  15. Prepare 2 tbsp juice of fresh lime
  16. Make ready 1 tbsp Garam masala
  17. Get 1 tbsp curry paste ' not the yellow curry powder ' ( I like to use Patak's brand )
  18. Get 1 tbsp Salt
  19. Prepare Butter chicken sauce
  20. Make ready 1 liter Neutral tomato sauce ( not the store bought jarred type )
  21. Take 500 ml 35 % cream
  22. Get 1/2 cup sweet butter
  23. Take 1 cup finely diced white onion
  24. Prepare 2 tbsp curry paste
  25. Get 2 tbsp Garam masala
  26. Prepare 1 tbsp sweet paprika or hot

I've been experimenting with my own version of home-made butter chicken over the past few weeks and I've finally found the perfect one. This simple no-fuss one pan butter chicken is just perfect. Indian food is one of my favorites, so when my friend made this slow cooker version for my family we were head over heels! I don't think I've had a Butter Chicken that I've liked more.

Instructions to make Butter chicken ( my version ):

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Place chicken on baking tray lined with parchment paper or foil and bake for 10-15 minutes.
  3. In a medium sized pot on medium heat add butter, onions, garam masala, paprika and curry paste.
  4. Sweat for 5-10 minutes. stir well as to prevent burning. Add tomato sauce then cream. and bring to a boil.
  5. Remove from heat and add chicken. Return to stove and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
