  22. Make ready 12 cleaned & devained prawns tail on
  23. Get 1 packages calamari (optional)
  24. Make ready 1 fish fillet of choice cut into 6-8 pieces
  25. Prepare 12 mussels ( i used box ones were just as good)
  26. Get 1 lemon juiced
  27. Get 1 bunch italian parsley

It's usually considered an Italian-American dish. Serve with grilled sourdough bread and garnish with parsley. The cioppino was the main course. (Followed by a creme brulee.) Overall this is a good Cioppino. Being Italian I had to delete the butter for a nice Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Instructions to make Easy Cioppino:

  1. start by add all ingredients from step 1 into pot. cook down till onions start to sweat about 3-4 min on med high heat
  2. now add all your ingredients from step 2 & seasonings. bring to a simmer and taste for seasoning at this time.
  3. turn down heat to med-low simmer 30-35 min.
  4. now add your seafood it only needs about 7minutes to cook till mussels open. NOTE:if your using box mussels and any are already open discard they wont be good.) TURN OFF add the lemon juice & chopped italian parsely
  5. serve with a baguette. .Enjoy!
