To begin with this particular recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can have lazy scones using 8 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you cook it.

The ingredients needed to make Lazy scones:

  1. Get flour
  2. Prepare sugar
  3. Get baking powder
  4. Make ready applesauce
  5. Get milk
  6. Get egg
  7. Get vanilla
  8. Get frozen blueberries or whatever you want in the scones

Come round and I'll just whip up a batch of fresh scones, you can promise, safe in the knowledge they are waiting for you in the freezer. Just make sure you have time to pop out for the clotted cream and jam. I had terrible luck with scones for ages but these have turned out really nicely every time. Place a Silpat baking mat on a baking sheet, and set aside.

Instructions to make Lazy scones:

  1. Throw everything except the blueberries in a mixer.
  2. Mix with dough hook lightly: you want it lumpy
  3. Add blueberries once the mixture is lumpy, and lightly mix once more
  4. Pour into scone moulds, or cut into 8 equal pieces on parchment paper if you don't have one
  5. Cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes. I find the scone moulds take longer, adjust accordingly.

These scones are fantastic, and they're so easy to make. I've made them twice in the last twenty four hours, and got rave reviews each time. I added vanilla and two teaspoons cinnamon, because cinnamon rocks, and some walnuts. Also, I sprinkled brown sugar on top, but these are all personal preferences. This is the best scone recipe I've tried and it's a definite make-again and again!
